Paige Matos is a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) trainee at La Vie Counseling Center, under the supervision of Guillermo Ulloa, #MFC-53213.
After earning her B.A. at Cal State Long Beach, Paige created a nonprofit designed to combine her love of art and storytelling with her passion for supporting those in the community navigating housing and/or mental health challenges. Through her nonprofit work, she discovered a passion for supporting people experiencing a wide range of trauma and adversities including homelessness, violence, sexual assault, substance use, grief, and life transitions.
Now, Paige is bringing nearly a decade of experience working as a case manager, a care coordinator, a peer support specialist, and as a nonprofit founder and executive in the community mental health and supportive housing sectors, to her pursuit of a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University.
As a therapist-in-training at La Vie, Paige’s therapeutic and trauma-informed approach is focused on helping individuals explore and reshape their personal narratives to foster healing and growth. She also recognizes the power of art and creativity in the healing process. Her style is collaborative, strengths-based, and person-centered, with an emphasis on creating a safe and compassionate environment where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and work toward their goals.
Whether clients are seeking support for issues related to identity, relationships, trauma, or everyday stress, Paige is committed to walking alongside them on their journey toward well-being. She is dedicated to offering a warm, authentic, and empathetic presence and helping clients tap into their inner strengths as they navigate their unique paths toward personal growth.
