Guillermo Ulloa, M.S., LMFT

Guillermo Ulloa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at La Vie where he sees individuals, adolescents, couples, and families, including men and individuals who are in the church. Guillermo has worked with adolescents and families for over 17 years in high schools and middle schools. He has been a volunteer for Young Life and other youth ministries, and is currently a lay leader in his church. He has led healing prayer groups in the past.

Certified to use the Prepare/Enrich program, he also counsels couples who are considering getting married or are currently engaged. His favorite authors include Henri Nouwen, Leanne Payne, John Eldredge, Agnes Sanford, and Andy Comiskey.

We were created to be free- free to love and to create. This is our true self. Sometimes, though, we get lost. Something in life is hurting–relationships, work, home life, our experiences of our own feelings or lack of them. Sometimes we may not even know what we need or want, but we know ‘it’s not supposed to be like this.’ Let’s work collaboratively to uncover our true self–our true self with one face, no longer fearful, repressed, or unsteady. Borrowing from St. Augustine and St. Paul, let us find a “safe haven for our mind, a gathering place for all our scattered parts,” and we will “sing the melodies of our heart.”

Guillermo received his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary.
