Jennifer Fuentes Benitez
Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee
Emotional pain can reveal areas that need attention, care, and exploration. Sometimes exploring the meaningful stories behind the emotional pain can be difficult, but it can be our guide to growth and healing. I am here to help you explore emotions and thoughts while offering a safe space to cultivate letting go of the things outside of your control.
My approach is a collaborative, empathetic, safe, and non-judgmental environment that is tailored to each individual— to help explore the root causes of any emotional distress or disconnect.
I am passionate about working with individuals and couples on issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationships, self-awareness, mindfulness and exploring helpful coping skills.
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee under the supervision of Joanne Weidman, MFT #MFT40893. I am completing my M.S in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Mount St. Mary's University. I have worked as an ABA Behavior Therapist with autistic children and adults equipping them with strategies like mindfulness, meditation, and self-regulating techniques. I am also trained in the Gottman method to help couples manage conflict, deepen friendship and build intimacy.
I look forward to connecting with you!
